
My Story
I’m passionate about wellbeing, mindfulness, breathwork and movement. After 25 years in teaching and school leadership,in Glasgow and Cardiff I experienced the transformative impact of Mindfulness in recovering from burnout and stress. This inspired me to train as a Mindfulness teacher and share its benefits widely.
I trained initially with the Mindfulness in Schools Project to teach Mindfulness lessons in my school. I then went on to gain an MSc in Psychological Research and Practice and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy at the University of Exeter and left teaching in 2015. Since then I have delivered hundreds of 8-week Mindfulness courses, workshops, and wellbeing sessions to adults, young people, and staff in schools, workplaces, and local communities.
I combine my freelance work with a part-time role as a Training Development Lead for a local mental health charity in Glasgow , teaching children and young people in schools, adults in community settings and staff in schools.
In 2026, I became a Breathwork Coach and a Joimove Dance Instructor, and now offer classes locally in Bearsen that combine mindfulness, breathwork, and joyful movement. Dance has been a central part of my life for over 26 years—covering ballroom, modern jive, salsa, bachata, and Argentine tango—and I love helping others experience the energy, flow, and happiness that comes from movement, mindful presence, and breath.

Experience
Clare regularly attends teacher-training workshops, meditation retreats, courses, and yoga workshops. She is passionate about sharing the practice with others through her courses and workshops. She has developed, organised and facilitated mini - mindfulness and wellbeing retreat days reaching hundreds of people in a variety of school, community, workplace and clinical settings and will offer that soon online!
